Portals are typically seen or referred to as this temporary act of transportation between two spaces. a portal can also be a giant leap of self-reflection through the act of self-examination both externally and internally. I began to research what portals genuinely meant to me. My findings lead to a new beginning with Portal to the Soul. It is an act of transformation of time as well as a transformation of the landscape. this sculpture allows the viewers to approach the larger-than-life mirror and become consumed by the appendages.
